Here's a somewhat battered, but historically important, photo of Ted Lewis and His Band, broadcasting from a makeshift radio station in Cleveland on the 24th October 1922. Ted and the band were on tour with the Greenwich Village Follies when they took time out to make an early appearance on the radio. The personnel from left to right is:- Frank Lhotak, Harry Raderman, Frank Ross, Ted Lewis, Harry Barth, John Lucas, Dave Klein, Walter Kahn.

We're conveniently located about 20 minutes from junctions 25, 26 or 28 of the M1 motorway, 30 minutes from Nottingham East Midlands Airport and a 1 hour 40 minute train ride from London. We welcome visitors by appointment to browse through our 20000+ 78's of all types, but primarily Jazz, Blues, Dance Bands, Original Cast Theatre and Personality records. We also carry a substantial selection of books and discographies as well as printed ephemera and even phonographs and gramophones! With so much to see and do why not bring the family for a weekend and make time for a call here? We can even arrange accommodation in a number of historical 18th century stone cottages which sleep 2-7 people!
