“I am always pleased to bid on your items and always very happy with the results… your grading is always spot on and your packing is bullet proof” - John Tefteller
31 March 2021. If you're wondering whether or not you won anything on my 324-item auction at that closed last Sunday, there'll be a longer than usual wait for the answer. For once I'm taking the Easter Bank Holiday off in its entirety, so I won't be advising winners until Tuesday 6 April. Meanwhile, enjoy the Easter break yourself!
I've updated availability on my Set Price Sale of unsold Blues, Jazz and Hot Dance 78s - and they’re flying off the shelf! Lots of great items unsold from my last auction, together with a selection of choice records from my ever-changing stock. To view what’s on offer CLICK HERE.
BREXIT. So far, the predicted chaos with mail to mainland Europe hasn't happened, with few delays, and the good news is that VAT isn't being automatically added by eBay onto sales to EU countries. The main difference is we now have to complete a Customs declaration for sales to all EU member states, and we're happy to declare whatever value you the customer wants, but bear in mind that purchases over 20 Euros declared value could potentially attract VAT on entry into the EU.
COVID-19. Due to Government lockdown restrictions, we are only journeying to the post office once a week, so this and delays in the postal system means that deliveries are taking longer than usual. Please bear with us in the trying times.
SHIPPING. Royal Mail have announced yest more price increases, effective Jan 1, 2021 - the third price increase in 9 months! Even more reason for non-UK buyers to have their records held until a parcel of 7 + records can be shipped by non-Royal Mail means. This means big per-item savings on postage; currently I can ship a 3kg (6.6 lbs) parcel = 12 10-inch records to the USA for £38 via UPS, which equates to £3.16 or $4.25 per disc!!

We’re keeping calm on carrying on! To satisfy all those collectors suffering from shellac withdrawal symptoms, what with all record and antique fairs cancelled, we’re continuing to offer our regular selections of great 78s via both our twice-monthly eBay listings and here with our thrice-yearly auctions. The only major difference is that despatch and delivery may be slower than usual, as in-transit times appear to be longer than normal.
