One of the services we can provide is a consignment service. For collectors who wish to dispose of part or whole of their jazz or blues collection, or for those wishing to dispose of a relatives collection, running an auction, grading record conditions and packing and mailing out winnings can be a daunting and time consuming business, fraught with many difficulties and pitfalls for the inexperienced. Incorrectly graded records or inadequately packed parcels can result in angry customers demanding their money back.
We have been conducting postal auctions for 30 years, and in that time have built up both the expertise and reputation to organise the auctioning of collections efficiently and to realise the best possible prices.
For a pre-arranged commission, we will arrange collection of the records (or books/photographs, etc.) from anywhere in the U.S. or Europe, individually grade the items, prepare the auction list/s, run the auction, collect payments, ship out parcels and promptly settle with the seller on completion of the auction.
Our commission rates are competitive, our customer base is worldwide and our experience is second-to-none.
NB: We will also pay top prices for high quality jazz, blues and personality record collections; also photographs, autographs, ephemera etc.

A Few Tips...
1. Check with us regarding the viability of selling using this method. Common reissues and non-original issues are readily available and as such have little monetary value.
2. Themed collections sell better. For example a collection of Jazz and Blues, 1917-36 will be of more interest than an accumulation of general records of the same period.
2. The better the collection, the lower the commission to auction hundreds of common dance bands or reissues would be both unprofitable to the seller and the commission prohibitively expensive. A collection with a good cross-section of both rare and common items will generally sell reasonably well.
3. DO NOT SEND RECORDS TO US. A list of the items in the first instant will be sufficient to provide a rough guide to value. If the collection is worthwhile auctioning, we will contact to arrange to view.
